Competitions will take place in venues carefully selected to provide the best possible conditions for athletes and spectators alike. Each site reflects the host country’s commitment to university sport, offering high-quality facilities in a setting designed for international events.

Jilin Speed Skating Oval

The Jilin Speed Skating Oval will host the speed skating competitions of the FISU World University Winter Games. The venue is located at No. 1202 Jishun Street, Yongji Community, Nanguan District, Changchun. It has a total floor area of 30,000 square meters and features 2,146 movable spectator seats. The facility is equipped with two standard ice rinks, each covering 1,800 square meters, as well as a standard speed skating track.

As a professional venue dedicated to winter sports events, the arena has previously hosted numerous major domestic and international competitions, including the 6th Asian Winter Games, the speed skating events of the 12th National Winter Games of China, the ISU World Speed Skating Sprint Championships, and the ISU Speed Skating World Cup.

Jilin Ice Arena

The Jilin Ice Arena will host the women’s ice hockey competitions of the FISU World University Winter Games. Located to the west of the Jilin Speed Skating Oval, the venue has a total floor area of 8,600 square meters and provides seating for 2,460 spectators. It features one international-standard ice rink covering 1,800 square meters.

The arena has previously hosted a number of major domestic winter sports events, including the figure skating competitions of the 12th National Winter Games of China, the National Figure Skating Championships, and the National Figure Skating Grand Championships.

Changchun Wuhuan Sports Center

The Changchun Wuhuan Sports Center will host the short track speed skating and figure skating competitions of the FISU World University Winter Games. The venue is located at No. 4899 Yatai Avenue, Nanguan District, Changchun. It covers a site area of 46,800 square meters, with a total floor area of 31,200 square meters. The arena provides seating for 10,488 spectators. The competition floor spans 4,400 square meters, including an ice surface of 1,800 square meters.

The venue previously hosted the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as short track speed skating and figure skating events, of the 6th Asian Winter Games. It has also staged the ISU Short Track Speed Skating World Cup, the China-Russia Youth Winter Games (short track and figure skating events), the short track competitions of the 9th and 12th National Winter Games of China, and numerous national and provincial championships in short track speed skating, figure skating, curling, and ice hockey.

Changchun Ice Arena

The Changchun Ice Arena will primarily host the curling competitions of the FISU World University Winter Games. The venue is located to the west of the Changchun Wuhuan Sports Center. It occupies a site area of 11,400 square meters, with a total floor area of 16,180 square meters, and has a seating capacity of 225 spectators. The arena features a short track speed skating training facility built to International Skating Union standards, with a track circumference of 111.32 meters. In accordance with competition requirements, the venue can be converted into a curling competition field.

The facility has previously hosted major events including the 6th Asian Winter Games and the curling competitions of the 12th National Winter Games of China.

Changchun National Fitness Activity Center

Located to the north of the Changchun Wuhuan Sports Center, the Changchun National Fitness Activity Center comprises a main building, a natatorium, and other auxiliary facilities, with a total floor area of 13,355.97 square meters. During the Games, the venue will primarily serve as the Main Media Center (MPC), as well as the Competition Command Center and the Information Operations Center.

Changchun Olympic Sports Center Ice Arena

The Changchun Olympic Sports Center Ice Arena will host the men’s ice hockey competitions, including the final matches, of the FISU World University Winter Games. The venue is located at the intersection of Zhongke Avenue and University Town Road in Kuancheng District, Changchun. The arena has a total floor area of 34,816 square meters, including 33,428 square meters above ground and 1,388 square meters below ground. It provides a total of 8,552 spectator seats.

The venue previously hosted short track speed skating and figure skating competitions of the 18th Jilin Provincial Games.

Changchun Jingyuetan Ski Resort

Changchun Jingyuetan Ski Resort will host the cross-country skiing and para cross-country skiing events of the Games. It is located at No. 5840 Jingyue Avenue, Nanguan District, Changchun, and covers an area of 48,000 square meters. The venue features 5 km, 2.5 km, and 1.5 km race courses, with track widths ranging from 4 to 12 meters.

The resort has repeatedly hosted the Vasaloppet International Cross-Country Skiing Race, as well as numerous national and provincial cross-country skiing competitions.

Changchun Lianhua Mountain Ski Resort

Changchun Lianhua Mountain Ski Resort will host the freestyle skiing aerials competitions. The venue is located on Xuechang West Street, Qingshan Village, Sijia Township, Lianhua Mountain Eco-Tourism Resort Area, Changchun. It covers an area of 9,000 square meters, with course widths ranging from 25 to 48 meters.

The resort previously hosted the freestyle skiing aerials competitions of the 6th Asian Winter Games, the alpine skiing and snowboarding events of the 2022 China-Russia Youth Games, and has staged multiple editions of the Freestyle Skiing Aerials World Cup, Asian Cup, National Championships, National Tournaments, and mass-participation snowboarding competitions.

Changchun Beihu Park

Changchun Beihu Park will host the biathlon and ski orienteering events. The venue is located at No. 666 Tiantuo Road, Kuancheng District, Changchun, covering an area of 21 hectares. The site features 1.5 km, 2.0 km, and 2.5 km race courses, each with a width of 6 meters.

Changchun World Sculpture Park

Changchun World Sculpture Park will host the winter cross-country running events. Located on Renmin Avenue, Nanguan District, Changchun, the venue has a course area of 12,000 square meters. The racecourse measures 1.63 kilometers per lap, with four laps totaling 6.52 kilometers.

Changchun Northeast Asia International Expo Center

The Changchun Northeast Asia International Expo Center will serve as a non-competition venue for the Games, hosting the Opening and Closing Ceremonies as well as the International Broadcast Centre (IBC). Located along the southern extension of Renmin Avenue in Chaoyang District, Changchun, between Xingchuang Road and Xingbo Road, the complex covers a site area of 502,000 square meters, with a total gross floor area of 450,000 square meters.

The exhibition center adopts a fishbone-style circulation layout, comprising eight exhibition halls and one central hall interconnected by a surrounding transport corridor. Hall C, a multi-functional exhibition hall measuring 170 meters by 164.5 meters, has a building height of 23 meters, a clear height of approximately 14 meters, and a net exhibition area of 16,000 square meters. It will serve as the primary venue for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies. Exhibition Hall A3, measuring 90 meters by 230 meters, with a building height of 20 meters, a clear height of approximately 12 meters, and a net exhibition area of 18,000 square meters, will be converted into athlete and performer staging areas as well as the International Broadcast Centre (IBC).

Beidahu Ski Resort

Beidahu Ski Resort will host the alpine skiing, para alpine skiing, freestyle skiing, and snowboarding competitions of the Games. It is located at No. 65 Songjiang Middle Road, Beidahu Town, Yongji County, Jilin. The resort currently features 2.75 million square meters of ski terrain, with a maximum vertical drop of 870 meters. It includes a snowboard halfpipe venue covering 4,900 square meters. The resort offers 74 ski runs, with a total developed trail length of 94 kilometers, including cross-country trails. There are 13 aerial ropeways with a combined length of 24 kilometers, including 11 detachable high-speed chairlifts totaling 22 kilometers.

Beidahu Ski Resort previously hosted all snow events of the 6th Asian Winter Games, as well as the 8th, 9th, and 12th National Winter Games of China. It has hosted the FIS Freestyle Aerials and Moguls World Cup events for four consecutive years. In 2022, the resort was designated as a training base for the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games.

CTS Songhua Lake Ski Resort

CTS Songhua Lake Ski Resort will host the snowboarding and ski mountaineering events of the Games. It is located at No. 888 Qingshan Avenue, Fengman District, Jilin. The resort features 50 high-quality ski runs with a total length of 57.5 kilometers, including cross-country trails. It has five FIS-certified courses, six imported high-speed cable lifts, and eight conveyor lifts, with a maximum hourly capacity of 22,000 skiers. The skiable area covers 2.3 million square meters, and the resort includes a 100,000-square-meter freestyle terrain park.

CTS Songhua Lake Ski Resort has hosted numerous international and national competitions, including FIS alpine skiing point races, the Far East Cup, the Ski Mountaineering World Cup, the Asian Ski Mountaineering Championships, the National Alpine Skiing Championships and Grand Championships, the National Snowboard Parallel Giant Slalom Championships, Big Air and Slopestyle Championships. It has also hosted the National University Ski Challenge and the FISU Winter Games qualification events for eight consecutive years.
